I use Cuisinart’s Griddler™ a few times a month. Pictured here is a whitefish called Tilapia that we get here and also a greasy patty melt (below). Now, for variation and for better health, don’t use a greasy hamburger and for fish, use wild salmon which has healthly Omega-3 fats or how about some chicken breast lightly salted and peppered.

Do as I say, not at I do. I’m trying to eat better, but fall when presented with meaty options.

Extremely popular here in the household are grilled asparagus, green squash, yellow squash and paninies with turkey, tomato and mozarella. Those are a lot healthier than greasy fishes and meats. Of course, I don’t have any pictures of those so just take my word for it :)

griddler wednesday

I normally wouldn’t post something like this. The reason for this shot is because I always bake up gross, pale looking pork chops; except this time. I seared it this time in a hot pan with olive oil, then reduced the heat to finish. Of course, my wife wasn’t home to witness this, hence the photo.

I’m cutting fat from the meal by using olive oil instead of butter like I normally do. Replacing those saturated fats with some healthier Omega-3’s, well at least every little bit helps. Mind you, I did not cut off some of the fat from the pork chop.
