Still in the flight case. I think my brain’s still on the plane too.
Taken 10/24/2006 - Pasta and Filet Mignon
This week I’m in Charlotte at a Residence Inn waiting to close on the house towards the end of the week. This hotel chain is the bomb. For a buck and a quarter you get a full kitchen, living area, bed and bath. Between the free breakfast and groceries, dining is cheap this way. I used to like reading the paper in the lounge with fried food and some gin; instead, pasta and filet mignon with Bass Ale (yup, Bass Pale Ale; that which could not be found in Portland) will more than suffice.
My dinner is fatty, buttery and creamy. Indulge once in a while.
Now, it’s been too busy to reflect on how much I miss this or how much I miss that from the Northwest. I’m sure it’ll hit me soon; that I’m here in Charlotte for some unspecified amount of time. We’ll make this home.
As soon as we sign and move into the house.
p.s. I do miss y’all out there in P-Town. Take care. I’ll talk with you soon.
p.p.s. My bike is somewhere in Idaho loaded on a tractor trailer. Scheduled to arrive here mb week’s end, it’ll be nice to hop on and go for a freakin’ ride. Woot!
