Portland Century

Here’s a sprint pic from last night race. Lighting was bad, so I’m learning how to use a flash at sporting event. It’s harder than I thought.
Last Sunday was Portland’s first century. I declined from participating because of the $40.00 early registration fee. With all the events I’ve been doing, I couldn’t bear to part with the money for this one.
Good thing. I heard it was a cluster-f. They had planned for 400, but let 1,200 people register. That’s a recipe for disaster. At bikeportland.org some folks documented their day. Sounds pretty bad for some.
