Race # 4 - Touching Ground (Part 2)

raceday wounds

More than one of you have requested pics from my last post. I don’t know which is freakier. Y’all asking or me posting. Here are the PG-13 shots.

1. See the road marks on the shoulder?
2. Nice freakin’ hole on my UnderArmour.
3. Right Elbow.
4. Left Elbow.

My hip is much of the same. No need for photos there. Here’s an update from the computer. I was going about 24 mph before impact, then 19 mph at impact. The graph shows a superfast decline from there. Oh. And my heart rate was goin’ 180 bpm. This thing is like having an in-flight recorder. If anything else, that’s cool.

edit: Added graph. The crash happen at around mile 8.75 on the chart. Note: I started the GPS one lap late, so that’s why there’s discrepancy in the total mileage.

Sorry to hear about your crash, too bad. So was it a much different race? How it was to run it backwards, I guess the sprint is even longer. I will be there this Tuesday if it does not rain. Did you bike in last Tuesday? I hope you did not have to bike back in those conditions.
    Ciao
